How do I join?
Before
you join, you are strongly encouraged to read the WOTI
Guidelines.
There are five ways you
can participate. It's free, and only your email address is required to join.
Your address will never be given to anyone; it will be used solely to deliver
email from other WOTI members and occasional administrative messages. Commercial
advertising is not permitted on the forum.
Choose the method that
best suits you:
Option 1: The Web forum
Read and post WOTI messages
via the Web! To get started, please go to the Register page
for the WOTI forum.
Option 2: The interactive mailing list
On the interactive list,
you will receive approximately fifty to one hundred emails per day. Each is
posted by a fellow WOTI member.
The interactive list is
ideal if you expect to be frequently replying to other postings and don't
mind the volume of incoming mail.
To join the interactive
mailing list, enter your email address in the blank below, then press the
"Join WOTI via the Interactive List" button.
Assuming you've entered
your email address correctly (one in three addresses entered here are incorrect!),
you will receive an automated email with further instructions.
Alternatively, you may
subscribe by sending an email to wings-subscribe@woti.org
Once you've subscribed,
you can post your own messages by mailing them to wings@woti.org
Any message you send to that address will be immediately distributed to everyone
on the interactive list. As verification that your posting was successful,
you will also receive your own message back.
Option 3: The Digest list
You will receive somewhere
between one and five large emails per day containing the day's messages.
The digest is the best
choice if you don't expect to frequently reply, or if you need to control
the volume of mail.
To join the Digest
mailing list, enter your email address in the blank below, then press the
"Join WOTI via the Digest List" button.
Assuming you've entered
your email address correctly (one in three addresses entered here are incorrect!),
you will receive an automated email with further instructions.
Alternatively, you may
subscribe by sending an email to wings-digest-subscribe@woti.org
You can post your own
messages by mailing them to wings@woti.org
Any message you send to that address will be immediately distributed to everyone
on the interactive list. You will see your message in the next Digest email.
Option 4: News
You can read the postings
by pointing your Web browser at news://news.woti.org/wings
or by configuring your Newsreader software to access the News server at news.woti.org.
For security reasons,
you cannot post messages via News. Before you can post, you must register
your email address by entering it in the blank below, then press the "Join
WOTI via News" button.
Assuming you've entered
your email address correctly (one in three addresses entered here are incorrect!),
you will receive an automated email with further instructions.

followed the instructions in the response email, you can post messages by emailing
them to wings@woti.org Your messages will usually appear in News
shortly after being sent.
Option 5: On-line archives
In the
archives, you can read every list message since WOTI was formed in 1995,
and search for past messages by keyword.

the list, you must register your email address by entering it in the blank
below, then press the "Join WOTI via the Archives" button.
